In addition to hypnotic training, coaching and Reiki credentials, Drs. Bates and Giles are both ordained and fully-fellowshipped Unitarian Universalist clergy. The Unitarian Universalist Association is one of the oldest denominations in America and among the most progressive.

Dr. Giles is the Affiliated Community Minister at Countryside Church in Palatine, Illinois, which means that he works “beyond the walls” of the local congregation to help people in the wider community.

Dr. Bates retired from a forty year parish ministry and is now Minister Emerita at the Geneva Unitarian Universalist Society in Geneva, Illinois. She offered both Reiki and hypnotism in a congregational setting for almost twenty years. 

Additionally, Dr. Giles is a Board Certified Chaplain, representing years of post-doctoral health care training and practice in an interfaith setting, and is a Retired Life Member of the Association of Professional Chaplains.
