The Discipline has six parts: the exploration of a client’s Needs, Hopes and Resources, the Profile, the Desired Contributing Outcomes, the Plan, the Interventions and finally, Measurement.
The Discipline starts by assessing the Needs, Hopes and Resources each client brings. On the basis of the assessment a Profile of the client, and a list of Desired Contributing Outcomes are created. While it will be revised every time I see a client, I then lay out a Plan to help the client achieve the desired outcomes in an orderly way. All Interventions are Measured against the outcomes list periodically.
The Discipline allows me reflect on what is happening in the lives of my clients in a structured way so that I can compare and contrast different techniques, weigh outcomes, examine trends and learn from my results.
The Discipline requires that every step of the process be clear, spiritually sound, capable of description and agreeable to the client. If a medical issue is involved, the outcomes should be integrated into the client’s medical care.
There are specific techniques and tools used for the different steps of The Discipline. However, the fundamental intervention I use is hypnotism, as that’s what I’m best known for.
