Anniversary
Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 03:46PM This month is the one-year anniversary of my taking my practice out of a group practice and going solo.
Well, that’s a little strong. I’m not really in this alone. My practice is now a Limited Liability Company that is endorsed and overseen by my church. There are people who are legally required to look over my shoulder to ensure that what I do remains a legitimate charity. Also, I have business associates who help me do what I do by providing legal, accounting, business and medical expertise.
But basically, I own this practice now. It was designed from the ground up by knowledgeable people to support my work, and it fits like a glove. I am efficient, focused and very productive. I’ve never felt more fulfilled in my work than I do now.
My thanks go out to my associates in the National Guild of Hypnotists and the Association of Professional Chaplains for their guidance and support.
As the crown on this year of positive change, the National Guild of Hypnotists decided to elevate me to the rank of Board Certified Diplomate. This is the highest level of rank it is possible for a consulting hypnotist to earn, and becoming a Diplomate of the Guild makes one a member of a very select group. I feel honored to be included.
So this first anniversary marks the passing of a very good year, and I am looking forward to the next year. I hope to make this Blog even more interesting and to add new features to this web site.
If you have not already done so, please take a moment now to update your address book and bookmarks for me so that you have me at my actual domain name, “www.csgiles.org.” If you have a web site that contains a link to my site, please be sure the link is to this domain name.
About a third of the people who come here are still using the domain name I used when I was part of the group practice I’ve left behind, “www.counselingministries.org”. As my old colleagues were slow to embrace the Internet, they never developed a web presence. I wasn’t, so I ended up owning the best domain name for that company, and a lot of people still use it for me.
However, I’d like to pass the “www.counselingministries.org” domain on to my old associates. So eventually that web address will take you somewhere else instead of here.
